Privacy Policy

In short

GTI Transport LLC collects the contact and shipment details you give us when you request a quote or apply to drive, plus standard technical data from your visit. We do not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising. Texas and California residents can request access, correction or deletion using the contact details on this page.

Information we collect

Information you give us

When you request a quote, contact us, or apply to drive, you may give us your name, company, email address, phone number, shipment details, and information about your driving experience and qualifications. You choose what to share, and we ask only for what we need in order to respond.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting provider records standard technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and the site that referred you. This is used to keep the site secure and to understand, in aggregate, how it is used.

Information about driver applicants

If you apply to drive with us, we may collect information required of a motor carrier by federal regulation, including licence and endorsement details, employment history, and the results of background, motor vehicle record, and drug and alcohol testing checks. Where a consumer reporting agency is used, we obtain your written authorisation first and give you the disclosures required by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Queries to the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse are made only with your consent, as the regulations require.

Cookies, analytics and tracking

This site uses only the cookies necessary for it to work. For visitor statistics we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless: it sets nothing on your device, does not fingerprint your browser, and does not track you across other websites. It reports aggregate page views, country-level location and page-speed measurements only. We do not use advertising cookies, we do not run behavioural ad networks on this site, and we do not track you across other companies’ websites. If we ever add technology that requires your consent, we will ask for it clearly before it runs.

Some browsers send a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. Because we do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioural advertising, there is nothing for these signals to switch off, but we honour them as an opt-out where they apply.

How we use your information

  • To answer quote requests, questions and driver applications.
  • To arrange, price, carry out and invoice the transportation services you ask us about.
  • To meet the record-keeping, safety and compliance obligations that apply to a licensed motor carrier.
  • To keep this website secure, available and working properly.
  • To defend or pursue legal claims where that becomes necessary.

We do not use your information to make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you by automated means alone.

Calls, texts and email

If you give us your phone number, you agree that we may contact you about your request by phone, text message or email. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. You can opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP, or of marketing email by using the unsubscribe link. Opting out of marketing does not stop messages that are strictly about a shipment or an application already in progress. Consent to marketing messages is never a condition of getting a quote or of being considered for a driving position.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We share it only in these situations:

  • Service providers who help us operate, for example our website host and form handler (Netlify), our analytics provider (Cloudflare), telematics and dispatch software, and insurers, and only to the extent they need it to do that work for us.
  • Freight partners where it is necessary to move your shipment, such as brokers, shippers, receivers or other carriers involved in the same load.
  • Professional advisers such as our accountants and lawyers, under a duty of confidence.
  • Authorities and regulators where the law requires it, including the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and state agencies, or to protect the rights, safety or property of GTI Transport, our customers or the public.
  • A successor if the business is sold, merged or reorganised, subject to this policy.

How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as we need it to answer you, to perform and account for the services you asked for, and to meet the retention periods imposed on motor carriers by federal and state law. Driver qualification, safety, testing and shipment records are kept for the periods the regulations specify, which can be several years. When information is no longer required for these purposes, it is deleted or de-identified.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Confirm whether we process your personal data and get access to it.
  • Correct inaccurate personal data.
  • Delete personal data we hold about you.
  • Obtain a portable copy of data you provided to us.
  • Opt out of the sale of personal data, targeted advertising, or profiling with legal effects, none of which we carry out.

Texas residents. The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act gives you the rights listed above. We will respond within 45 days, and may extend once by a further 45 days where reasonably necessary. If we decline your request, you may appeal by writing to us at the address below with “Privacy Appeal” in the subject line. We will respond to an appeal within 60 days, and if we deny it we will tell you how to complain to the Texas Attorney General.

California residents. Where the California Consumer Privacy Act applies, you have comparable rights of access, correction, deletion and portability, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. Because we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by that law, we do not offer a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link.

To exercise any right, contact us using the details below. We will ask for enough information to verify who you are before we act, and an authorised agent may act for you with written permission. Exercising these rights is free unless a request is excessive or repetitive.

How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect the information we hold, including encrypted connections to this website, access limited to people who need it, and vetted service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take this seriously and review our practices as the business changes.

Children

This site is intended for a business audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Other websites

Our site links to other websites, such as our Facebook page and public FMCSA records. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Their policies apply once you leave ours.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our business or the law changes. The current version is always posted on this page with the date it was last updated at the top. If we make a material change, we will make that clear on this page.
